Contained within a 8 by 4 by 16 foot hallway, opposing walls are pierced with over two thousand grapevine twigs collected over six consecutive seasons in rural Appalachia. Controlled by overhead spotlights, each unique twig casts a shadow that may serve as a gesture or drawing. The constantly looping video is contained within a 3 by 5 inch monitor, impossible to view until entering the hallway in full. This work evolved from a photographic process of observation, a vastness made of details.
